Kežmarok Castle
Kežmarok Castle is one of the most significant historical landmarks in northern Slovakia and the only fully preserved town castle in the Spiš region. The region boasts more than 200 km of marked cycling trails suitable for mountain, gravel, and road bikes. One popular option is the paved cycle path from Kežmarok to Veľká Lomnica, which is ideal for families with children.
More experienced cyclists can enjoy the route through Spišská Belá and Strážky to Tatranská Kotlina, from where they can continue towards Tatranská Lomnica while enjoying spectacular views of the Tatra peaks.
Those looking for a more challenging ride can take the route to Javorina – Marčulina, which rewards cyclists with panoramic views of the High Tatras, the Spiš region, and the Levoča Mountains.
Treetop Walk Bachledka
Just a few kilometres from Kežmarok, you’ll find the Bachledka Treetop Walk, one of the most popular attractions in the region. Stretching for more than 600 metres and reaching heights of up to 24 metres above the ground, the walkway offers unique views of the treetops, the Belianske Tatras, the Pieniny Mountains, and the picturesque Zamagurie region.
The highlight of the visit is the 32-metre-high observation tower, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. The walkway is suitable for families with children, seniors, as well as visitors with pushchairs or wheelchairs.
